Pierre Houde

Born in Ville St-Laurent, Pierre Houde began his radio announcer career at 18 years old. He developed a growing interest in sports, particularly auto racing, at an early age. In 1985-86, his passion led him to becoming the general manager of the Canadian Formula 1 Grand Prix. In October 1989, he joined RDS, acting as play-by-play commentator of Hockey à RDS and of Sunday night baseball, in addition to hosting many shows.
His great passion for auto racing also led him to commenting the Formula 1 Grand Prix on RDS. Pierre is also the commentator of Hockey des Canadiens à RDS, the host of L’Ultime classement and a collaborator of Hockey 360. He reached the status of “television immortal” thanks to, among other honors, three Gémeaux awards for the quality and the relevance of his work. He also won an Artis award for Sports Show Host of the Year.
