Patrick Côté

Patrick was born in the small village of Saint-Narcisse, before moving to the city of Sherbrooke at age 5. He practiced several sports from an early age, including soccer as a player of the elite Estrie team and later of the Quebec national team for 2 years. In 1999, he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and remained an infantryman during the next 6 years, notably serving in Bosnia in 2002. He reached the rank of Corporal and completed several specialisation courses (e.g. VLB Driver, Gunner, Sniper) before his military career ended.
In 2004 he launched himself into a career as a professional athlete in mixed martial arts. He also began a career in the media, working as fight analyst at RDS then as the cohost of UFC – Les Guerriers at V with Réjean Claveau. When TVA Sports went on the air in 2011, he was hired as a mixed martial arts analyst/specialist. He then returned to the RDS network, working again as a mixed martial arts analyst starting in 2015.
As the official French voice of the UFC organization, Patrick remains active as a professional athlete and is attempting to become the Canadian who has the most fights in the history of the UFC.
